Cubing Help Guide
The cubic measurement of a parcel can be
determined as follows:
For example; a box is measured in meters and their dimensions are:
Length = 85cm
Width = 15cm
Height = 45cm
1) Convert the linear dimensions of a length x
width x height to meters.
2) Multiply the length x width x height x 250 (or applicable conversion rate) =
cubic weight.
3) Compare the cubic weight to the actual weight and calculate the charge
whichever is the greater
4) Conversion is (L).85 x (W).15 x (H).45 x 250 = 14.3 (round up to nearest
whole figure)
5) The actual weight of this parcel was found to be 9 kilograms when it was
placed on the scales. Using 250kg as the cubic conversion the cubic weight is
15kg, thus the greater weight of 15kg is used.
